Digiwise at ICT Week Uzbekistan: Thoughts on Supporting Digital Transformation at the National Level
Author: Elo Gaver
ICT Week Uzbekistan is the country’s largest and most significant IT event, held annually since 2004. The week brings together diverse conferences, workshops, and exhibitions, offering an excellent platform for exchanging experiences and showcasing new technologies. It also provides ideal opportunities to present Uzbekistan’s IT sector to foreign investors and to strengthen cooperation between the state, businesses, and consumers.
Lauri Antalainen, Founder of Digiwise, has been invited to speak at the event about artificial intelligence and to discuss how governments can support digital transformation. Against the backdrop of rapid population growth and urbanization, AI offers solutions that make life smarter, more efficient, and more inclusive.
In his talk, Lauri Antalainen will share ideas on how governments can support digital transformation, for example by:
-
creating standards, knowledge bases, and education programs,
-
bringing in knowledge from abroad,
-
promoting AI and digitalization through associations and federations.
In addition to being the Founder of Digiwise and the President & Board Member of EstBAN, Lauri Antalainen is also a member of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence and the Brain at the Estonian Academy of Sciences. This gives him a broad background in entrepreneurship, business growth, and venture capital.
We are delighted that Digiwise can share its perspective on the international stage – and then return home to Estonia with fresh insights for future action.
