Digiwise in Vilnius: How AI Is Transforming the Business Landscape

In November, Digiwise’s Lead Consultant Lauri Antalainen participated in AI Summit Europe in Vilnius, where he delivered a keynote titled “How AI and Digitalization Are Reshaping the Business Landscape.”

The presentation brought together real-life examples from both Estonian and international companies, showing how the use of artificial intelligence and digitalization has helped reduce hidden inefficiencies, increase productivity, and make business models more future-proof.

In his presentation, Lauri Antalainen focused on three key questions that help companies understand where and how to apply AI most smartly:

• How does AI change the way we conduct business, and what does that actually mean?

Artificial intelligence has long since stopped being a “new tool.” When used skillfully, it accelerates decision-making, reshapes processes, and changes the logic of competition. Companies that apply AI purposefully inevitably move forward more quickly.

• Which inefficiencies should companies target first with AI?

The highest hidden costs typically arise in processes that are repetitive, slow, dependent on manual labor, or prone to errors and waiting times. These are exactly the types of bottlenecks that can be eliminated through AI-powered digitalization.

• How to apply AI strategically — not just experimentally?

Using AI does not mean simply turning on a new program. Before implementing changes, companies need to identify bottlenecks, assess the value the solution will bring, design a more efficient workflow, and measure the results of the change.

The message was clear and role-specific:

  • If you are an employee, learn to use AI tools, or risk having your work done by someone who does.
  • If you are a business owner or leader, assume your team already uses AI (because they do). Your task is to build processes where AI can increase the value of the company.
  • If you are a B2B service customer, assume your service providers use AI, and use that insight to renegotiate prices.

AI Summit Europe demonstrated convincingly that artificial intelligence is no longer a “topic for the next decade,” but a practical tool and competitive advantage today. Digiwise had the opportunity to share its experience and bring real Estonian digitalization and AI use cases to the stage.
